Key Responsibility

  • Issue purchase orders to transporters based on received quotes.
  • Develop and implement automated systems for transport purchase management.
  • Monitor and update sheets to track transporter quotes and allocations.
  • Review and finalise transporter quotes upon completion of the bidding process.
  • Coordinate with the technology team for system upgrades and improvements.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are processed through the automated system without direct Coordination with the Transport Relationship Assistant Manager (TRAM). Efficiently issue and manage transport purchase orders.
  • Accurate and timely updates to transport quote sheets.
  • Effective collaboration with the technology team for system enhancements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly G-Suite.
  • Experience with automated systems and software development processes is advantageous.

Experiences

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or transport industry.

Knowledge

  • Proficiency in using automated/application systems to manage purchase orders.
  • Prepare the Monthly Information System (MIS).
  • Understanding of transportation the logistics and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of route planning and optimisation techniques.
  • Awareness of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles related to transportation costs and budgeting.
  • Coordinate with the tech team for upgradation.
