Al Sharqi Group - present in the UAE market for a period of of 36 years. We are looking for a Transport Coordinator who can be responsible for planning, executing, and tracking the inbound and outbound movement of shipping containers (FCL/LCL). This role involves acting as the primary point of contact between supply chain partners, internal warehouse teams, and transport fleets to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries.

Key ResponsibilitiesContainer & Fleet Management

  • Monitor daily shipments and track the physical movement of loaded and empty shipping containers across ports (e.g., Jebel Ali, Port Rashid, or Khorfakkan) and warehouse facilities.
  • Coordinate and dispatch truck drivers, trailers, and heavy transport vehicles for timely pickup and delivery.
  • Manage turn-around times, port detention, and demurrage, taking quick action to avoid penalty fees.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare, verify, and process all shipping documentation, including Delivery Orders (DO), Bill of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, and Gate Passes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with UAE road transport regulations and RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) guidelines.
  • Manage customs clearance coordination and ensure safety protocols are met if handling hazardous materials or specialized containers.

Cost & Route Optimization

  • Analyze transport requirements to optimize routing and maximize the payload and capacity of container vehicles.
  • Negotiate rates and communicate continuously with transporters, fleet owners, and shipping lines.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records and log all shipment details in transportation and warehousing IT systems.
  • Process and reconcile transport invoices with the finance department to facilitate accurate, timely billing and vendor payments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience in transport coordination, freight forwarding, or logistics in the UAE.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of container shipping operations, Incoterms, and supply chain processes.
  • Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with UAE road networks, major port terminals, and freezone logistics (e.g., JAFZA).
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in logistics tracking software and ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle).

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
