Job Summary
Sharmar Village Care Center located at 1209 W. Abriendo in Pueblo CO, has an opening for Transport Driver. Sharmar Village is a Senior Care Community that Serves our elderly population with Independent, Assisted Living, Long Term Care, and Short-Term Rehab. Serving is our highest calling.” We are seeking a dependable and professional Transport Driver to ensure safe and timely transportation services for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. As a Transport Driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our transportation services while delivering outstanding customer service in a respectful and compassionate manner.

Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses to transport residents and staff.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and attentive customer service at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation duties.
• Communicate effectively with residents, resident families, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies for each trip.

Experience

• Proven experience as a professional driver
• CNA licensure current and active
• Familiarity with operating various vehicle types such as shuttle vans/ bus.
• Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication skills in English for clear interaction with residents and team members.
• Customer service experience with an emphasis on providing respectful and attentive assistance to diverse populations.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type
• Prior experience driving in senior living or healthcare environments is advantageous but not mandatory. Join our team as a Transport Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation while fostering positive relationships within our community!

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
