Position Summary
Safely and productively drive company commercial motor vehicles (CMV's) designed to mobilize oversized heavy equipment from location to location in company trade area.�
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

Prior to driving a company CMV, perform inspections by walking around and examining tractor and trailer components. Accurately document any safety defects or potential DOT violations on DVIR.

Review CMV's previous DVIR before driving assuring all safety defects have been properly repaired by a qualified person.

Perform manual labor by; coupling and uncoupling trailers; using hand tools to clear gates of lodged rock, debris or other material; clean accumulated dirt and mud off tractor and/or trailer; secure loads with chains, straps and/or tarps; lift and move blocks and other weights used to chalk CMV's or secure loads; crawl under truck and trailer to inspect and adjust brake lines, air lines, and other safety components; assist maintenance personnel with basic truck maintenance such as lubricating or helping with repairs.

Machine operating experience for loading and unloading heavy equipment from lowboys, RGN (removeable gooseneck), drop deck, step deck and flatbed trailers.

Obey all traffic laws and FMCSA rules and regulations. Knowledgeable in fuel permits, mobilize machinery permits, overside loads and pilot car requirements for company trade area. Maintain Driver's Daily Log Books.

Perform miscellaneous emergency roadside equipment repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, and making acceptable temporary repairs.

Receive, understand and follow verbal instructions given face to face or via radio communication. Using radios to effectively communicate with pilot car drivers.

Travel to and from job site in company trade area.
**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS�**
Class A CDL, clean 5-year MVR, current DOT Medical Certificate.�
Experience driving multi-axle truck to transport oversize loads over 100,000 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug test and company fitness test.�
