We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Transportation Driver to join our long-term care team in Ohio. This position plays a vital role in ensuring residents arrive safely and comfortably to medical appointments, community outings, and other scheduled destinations.

Position Summary

The Transportation Driver is responsible for providing safe and courteous transportation services to residents while maintaining compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments, treatments, and facility-approved outings.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely, including wheelchair transport when applicable.
• Ensure resident comfort, dignity, and safety throughout transportation.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain transportation logs and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience transporting seniors or healthcare patients preferred.
• Ability to safely operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents as needed.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and screenings.
