Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients between departments, clinics, or community locations, ensuring comfort and dignity throughout the journey
• Assist patients with mobility needs, including transferring from beds to wheelchairs or stretchers, while adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety protocols
• Support patient care activities by providing basic assistance during transport, such as securing medical equipment or ensuring patient safety during movement
• Maintain clear communication with healthcare staff to coordinate timely and efficient transfers
• Ensure all transportation activities comply with hospital policies and health and safety standards
• Keep accurate records of patient transports, including documentation of any incidents or concerns during transit
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment and vehicles

Experience

• Prior experience in home and community care settings, nursing home or hospital environments is highly desirable
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with sensitivity and professionalism
• Experience as a C.N.A. in a healthcare setting is desireable
• Familiarity with nursing home protocols, patient mobility aids, and safety procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
