Transportation Coordinator (FT)

JOB SUMMARY: To coordinate all runs with all vehicles, both scheduled and extra. Manage qualified drivers for various vehicles maintain vehicles, oversee maintenance and repairs. Help hire qualified drivers for all vehicles. Must be able to communicate well with drivers. Answers to Chief of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. Need a very good automotive background on large and small vehicles. Ability to work with management and personnel. Able to drive or operate all vehicles under his control. Two years prior supervisory experience. Verbal and Written communication skills.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Be able to work in all weather conditions. Have the ability to get things done under adverse conditions. Able to move quickly to problem areas. Flexibility to changing schedules, awareness of St. Croix Chippewa Operations standard procedures. Must have good problem solving and decision making skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain a fleet of vehicles keeping them operating on schedule. Help coordinator hire and schedule drivers for 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Do all paperwork for the Department of Transportation. Keep all vehicles in good running condition. Will comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules; and will attend all required safety training. Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
