Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Transportation Operations, Safety & Training Manager to lead our transportation safety initiatives, compliance management, and staff training programs. This pivotal role ensures our transportation activities adhere to all regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our logistics operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee transportation safety policies in compliance with OSHA, transportation safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Manage regulatory compliance related to logistics, supply chain, customs brokerage, FDA regulations, and international trade regulations.
  • Coordinate and monitor freight movement, ensuring adherence to customs clearance procedures and export/import management protocols.
  • Lead training programs for drivers and logistics staff on safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage risk mitigation strategies to ensure fleet safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize global trade management software and Excel data analysis tools to monitor operational metrics, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee customs regulations compliance, customs clearance management, and ensure adherence to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, transportation safety regulations, and logistics compliance management.
  • Expertise in supply chain management, freight operations, and fleet management.
  • Proficiency with global trade management software, customs brokerage management systems, and Excel data analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of FDA regulations related to food-grade logistics and import/export procedures.
  • Experience with customs regulations compliance, customs clearance processes, and international trade regulations.
  • Excellent report writing skills along with the ability to develop clear regulatory reporting documentation.
  • Ability to manage transportation safety initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.
  • Technical proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), risk management tools, and office productivity software.

Pay: $51,806.98 - $62,391.20 per year
