Transportation Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a Transportation Specialist to coordinate and manage all aspects of transportation logistics within our organization. In this role, you will ensure seamless movement of freight, dispatch and manage transportation planning, and optimize supply chain operations through effective dispatching and data analysis.

This position will require knowledge of transportation systems and Quick Books. It would be helpful to have some knowledge of freight dispatching, truck routing, transporation systems and Quick Books.

Duties

• Coordinate transportation activities, including dispatching freight and managing fleet schedules using transportation management systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette
• Manage freight documentation, shipping schedules, and supply chain records with precision.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Quick Books.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, freight handling, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers
• Effective dispatching skills with the ability to coordinate multiple shipments simultaneously
• Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for internal and external interactions
• Competency in using multi-line phone systems for efficient communication flow
• Typing skills necessary for quick documentation updates in fast-paced environments

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
