Job Summary and Qualifications

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

1.* Safely transports patients to assigned areas, maintaining patient privacy and dignity, according to

HIPPA regulations throughout the entire hospital.

2.* Cleans transport equipment daily and ensures equipment is placed in designated areas. Follows

schedule for the replacement of empty oxygen tanks.

3.* Participates in PI processes.

4.* Maintains integrity of hospital environment. Follows hospital Safety and Universal Precaution

policy and procedures.

5.* Communicates effectively with patients, families, peers, supervisors, and departments served.

6.* Maintains professional appearance and demeanor on a daily basis

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

Required - None

Preferred - Prior experience as transporter.

EDUCATION

Required - None specified.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION

Required - BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through American Red Cross
