As a Transporter at Royal Oaks Hospital, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable transportation of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients while following all traffic laws and ensuring seatbelt use

Work collaboratively with hospital staff to maintain smooth operations
Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff members
Complete required training and continuing education, including CALM and CPR
Observe urinalysis collection as needed
Report and schedule vehicle maintenance, emergency breakdowns, or accidents per policy
Promote quality improvement initiatives within the hospital
Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and comply with Federal, State, and TJC regulations

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

High School/GED preferred

Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements:

Experience in patient transportation, healthcare, or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license required

Licensure/Certification:

Must have a valid Class E Missouri driver’s license or ability to obtain within 60 days

Royal Oaks Hospital serves all acute behavioral health care inpatient needs for children and adolescents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
