Transshipment Assistant Specialist

This position is responsible for planning the appropriate service/vessel for container to destinations where Arkas Line cannot provide direct service, managing the operational tracking, and ensuring the process is managed in the most cost-effective way and with the shortest transit time at the relevant transshipment ports.

Job Description

• Plan transshipment operations for container destined to locations not directly served
• Ensure container is shipped through the most suitable service/vessel in the shortest possible time and at optimal cost
• Coordinate with agencies and follow up on operational processes
• Monitor customs, declaration, booking and system record processes
• Follow vessel schedules, port programs, capacity and loading status
• Take necessary actions in case of operational changes and inform relevant parties
• Check loading confirmations and update planning tables accordingly
• Prepare required reports, analyses and statistics
