We are seeking a motivated and dependable Trash Truck Driver to join our dynamic waste management team. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to collect waste from designated routes
- Load and unload waste materials using mechanical knowledge of truck systems and lifting techniques
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Drive efficiently through assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist with manual heavy lifting tasks when necessary to support collection operations
- Maintain accurate logs of pickups, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate daily operations and resolve issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy-duty trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump truck, or tractor-trailer
- Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles with manual transmission preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of truck systems for troubleshooting minor issues on the road
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently
- Experience with load & unload procedures for various waste containers and roll-off containers
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and waste collection processes
- Delivery driver experience is a plus, demonstrating reliability and excellent route management skills
