The primary purpose of the TRC Care Manage is to serve as a role model and community liaison to clients who are enrolled in the Trauma Recovery Center that serves the victims of violent crimes and their families towards healing and health of symptoms related to the trauma from the violence.
TRC Care Managers are expected to develop relationships based on trust with clients and families utilizing a trauma-informed approach, provide reliable information, appropriate community resource referrals, and emotional support to victims of violence. The TRC Care Manager will meet with clients in the community, as well as structured and assertive outreach meetings to referral resources and community supports. This TRC Care Manager will function as a core member of the TRC treatment team.

Requirements
You must have:
· Bachelor's degree required, BA in counseling, social work, psychology, forensics or related field preferred.
· Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
· Successful completion of training including trauma informed care training, orientation to the Trauma Recovery Center mission and service, and shadowing of community outreach organizations.
· Two (2) years of recent experience, such as any combination of student, volunteer, or work experience, which involves the Bronx area and its community resources, is required.
· Participation in community organizations and firsthand understanding of issues related to interpersonal violence preferred.
· Must have a basic understanding of computer use and software applications, and the ability to perform basic internet searches Must have demonstrated interest in serving the Bronx community.
· Must be able to work independently and seek guidance when necessary.
· Must have good listening skills.
-Weekend flexbility as needed.
· Must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and have the ability to work with individuals of a diverse background.
· Must have valid driver's license or ability to use public transportation to accompany clients to appointments and connect with community resources, as needed.
You should have:
· Sensitivity to a substance abuse environment preferred.
· Previous mentoring experience is desired.
Pay: $51,000.00 - $56,100.00 per year
