Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and workspaces according to established standards.
• Utilize proper cleaning techniques for floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures, including floor care procedures such as waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning when necessary.
• Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling in compliance with safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness levels and identify areas needing extra attention or maintenance.
• Adhere to environmental services standards by using eco-friendly cleaning products and waste disposal practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress or any safety concerns that arise during the shift.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning, healthcare facilities, or hospitality environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols accurately.
• Prior hospital experience or environmental services background is a plus but not required.
