Pay Breakdown: Gross - $2576
Hourly - $36.96
OT after 40 hours - $55.44
Weekly Stipends - $1,246
Position Description: 4K Hematology/Oncology.
12H Nights.
Must have 2 years of clinical experience in specialty.
BMT Transplant experience preferred.
IVS to AUTO OFFER (if qualified & 3 days or less RTO (no holidays).
Required Upon Submission: APHON Cert.
COVID not required.
Required Prior to Start: MUST PASS FIT TEST (no facial hair unless for religious beliefs).
MUST PASS NICOTINE TEST.
FLU vaccine is required and MUST be included in packet.
Religious or Medical Exemption signed by an MD is accepted and needs to be included in packet.
Position Description
Hospital is a 359 bed, trauma 1, teaching hospital. MUST TEST NEGATIVE FOR NICOTINE The 4K Hematology/Oncology unit is 26 beds. Prior travel experience is not required; must have 2 years of clinical experience in the specialty. Biotherapy Provider is preferred. Strong teamwork skills; excellent communication skills with patients, deals well/remains calm in potential high-stress situations, good critical thinking skills, able to prioritize & delegate. Ratios: 1:3-4. Travelers are usually not assigned to a 1:1 patient. Chemo RN is available set hrs. during the week & weekend. Ancillary assistance: 1-2 PCTs per shift Floating is required to other pediatric units. Traveler are first to float. RNs should expect 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing for the facility. Dress Code must be followed and is available in “Client Documents” on the Compliance tab of this requisition. EMR is EPIC. Scheduling by manager or scheduler; no self scheduling. No on call requirements. Every other weekend is required. Holidays required, as needed. Patient population: fever, neutropenia, chemotherapy admission, solid tumor, sarcoma, leukemia, chronic pain crisis, new diagnoses, palliative. Age range of patient population is 0-21 years. IV Meds: Blood transfusion, Antibiotics, Stem Cell, IV fluids Types of Pediatric Surgery: resections, ports, etc. Average length of patient stay: general med-surg patients: overnight – 1 month Equipment: Epic/Pyxis, bar code scanning, pharmacy dose Respiratory available for support. Patient Schooling Process: Child Life and Education Specialists actively involved in evaluation each patient for unique school/education needs during prolonged hospitalization.
