Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) – Clover Health

Location: Romulus, MI
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)

Compensation

• Travel RN: $2,257/week | $62.69/hour
• Local RN: $2,061/week | $57.25/hour

Schedule

• Total Hours: 34.5 per week (3x11.5)
• Day and Night shifts both are available
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (includes occasional weekend & holiday coverage)
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (includes occasional weekend & holiday coverage)

Job Summary

Clover Health is seeking experienced and reliable Corrections Registered Nurses (RNs) for an assignment in Romulus, MI. This role provides essential medical care, emergency response, and clinical assessments within a high-security state correctional facility. Nurses in this setting deliver healthcare to adult inmates while operating under strict safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sick call assessments and triage
• Administer medications, including insulin
• Maintain tool control and medication accountability
• Perform medical screenings and submit required reporting
• Maintain accurate and compliant health records
• Respond to emergency situations, including:
• Narcan administration
• Asthma rescue
• Physical force injuries
• Emergency room coordination
• Manage employee accident/injury reports
• Complete sexual abuse/assault reporting
• Perform administrative and clinical duties as required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
• Previous experience in corrections, ER, acute care, or med-surg preferred
• Ability to work safely in a high-security, fast-paced environment
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
