Travel RN – Critical Care Float Pool
Location: Utica, NY
Employer: NurseAmerica
Job Type: Travel Contract
Shift: Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: January 12, 2026
Weekly Hours: 36 Guaranteed

Pay Package
- Estimated Weekly Gross: $2400
- Weekly Housing & Meals Stipend (Tax-Free): $1200
- Weekly Taxable Wages: $1200
Position Overview
NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse for a Float Pool travel assignment in Utica, NY. This role is ideal for adaptable ICU nurses who are comfortable floating across multiple units and managing diverse, high-acuity patient populations.

- Unit: Critical Care Float Pool
- Floating Required: Yes
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Beds: 42
Patient Population & Equipment
- Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Altered Mental Status, Neuro Interventions (TCAR), Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiogenic Shock, AAA Surgery, Trauma, Major Post-Operative Surgical Cases
- Specialty Equipment: IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP Monitoring, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Active New York RN License
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Strong ability to float across critical care and medical-surgical units
- Experience with Epic EMR
Salary
$2,000 - $2,400 per week
