Travel RN – Medical / Surgical (Stroke Stepdown)
Location: Utica, NY

Shift: Night | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Contract Dates: Jan 19, 2026 – Apr 19, 2026
Weekly Hours: 36 Guaranteed

Pay Package
- Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,400
- Weekly Housing & Meals Stipend (Tax-Free): $1200
- Weekly Taxable Wages: $1200
Position Overview
NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a travel assignment on a Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit in Utica, NY. This role is ideal for nurses with strong med-surg and stroke stepdown experience who are comfortable managing a diverse adult patient population on night shift.
Unit Details
- Unit: Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown
- Beds: 64
- Patient Population: Adults
- Common Diagnoses: Stroke, altered mental status, renal and dialysis patients, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general medical-surgical, pneumonia, pulmonary conditions
- Specialty Equipment: IV pumps, NG tubes, feeding tubes
- Floating Required: Yes
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg / Stroke Stepdown experience
- Active New York RN License
- BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Epic EMR
Salary
$2,000 - $2,400 per week
