Position: RN-MedSurg Peds (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in a MedSurg setting.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the medical team.

• Utilize performance metrics to evaluate and improve personal work outcomes.

• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

• Manage time effectively to meet patient care deadlines and targets.

• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.

• Engage in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.

• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during difficult times.

• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Oklahoma or compact state.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

• Experience in pediatric MedSurg nursing preferred, with a focus on patient care.

• Strong time management skills to meet patient care deadlines.

• Strong communication skills for patient and family education.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.

• Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols in healthcare.

• Proficient in maintaining accurate patient care documentation.

• Willingness to mentor and train new nursing staff.

• Ability to analyze performance metrics for personal improvement.
