Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Associate Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care across multiple locations. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in diverse clinical settings, ensuring adherence to all safety and health protocols, and maintaining excellent patient relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience with various dental procedures, and the flexibility to travel as needed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to serve a broad patient base while working in dynamic environments.
Duties
- Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and explain procedures clearly to patients.
- Utilize dental imaging techniques and interpret results accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Apply infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Use dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and team members.
- Operate dental equipment such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other practice management software efficiently.
- Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry procedures to optimize patient care and procedural efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to all OSHA standards related to infection control and medical safety.
- Manage patient care from initial assessment through treatment completion while providing compassionate service.
Experience
- Proven experience working in dental clinics or offices with a strong background in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Hands-on experience with dental fabrication, root canal therapy, dental extractions, and endodontics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential.
- Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient care with excellent communication skills. This role requires a licensed dentist with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings while traveling between locations.
