Traveling Field Service Technician

Location: Southwestern United States – Traveling nationwide (up to 75% of the time)

Important Travel Requirement This role requires being on the road approximately 3 weeks per month, including some weekends. Travel includes driving and occasional air travel. Candidates must be comfortable with extensive travel and working outdoors in varying conditions.

About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, highly skilled Traveling Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who enjoys solving problems, working outdoors, and supporting customers face-to-face.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and DC electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and system adjustments using diagnostic tools
• Provide customer training on equipment operation, safety, and maintenance best practices
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and operators
• Accurately document service activities, parts usage, and equipment status

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Experience with computer-based diagnostic tools and data entry
• Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, and service manuals
• Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 lbs. regularly
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment industries
• Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or related fields
• Customer service or training experience
