Traveling Retina Tech (Certified Phlebotomist)

Berkeley Eye Center is seeking an experienced Bilingual Ophthalmic Assistant/Scribe (Certified Phlebotomist required) to join our Retina Team.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position requiring travel to multiple locations in the greater Houston area. Candidates must have 2+ years of retina technician experience in an ophthalmology setting, along with current phlebotomy certification and strong venipuncture skills. EMR experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Scribe physician encounters accurately in the EMR
• Obtain patient histories and perform diagnostic testing (VA, Tonometry, OCT, IOL Master, Topography, Visual Field, Fundus Photography)
• Perform venipuncture with precision and excellent patient care
• Assist providers and support efficient clinic flow

Required Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomist (REQUIRED)
• Strong venipuncture experience
• 2+ years retina/ophthalmology experience
• Bilingual (required)
• Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and patient care skills

Preferred

• IV Certification (strong plus)
• IV start or injection support experience
• EMR familiarity

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
