Job Overview
Cardiac Cath RN with 3-5 years’ experience Monday -Friday flexible shifts 5 days a week 9am-5pm ( may ask to come early based on procedural case load.) No call, No holidays

Duties

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment used during procedures, including CT and fluoroscopy.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and provide immediate care as needed during procedures.
• Document medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments, including intake evaluations and vital signs monitoring.
• Provide education to patients regarding post-procedure care and recovery.

Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:

• Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks EMR systems.
• Experience with cardiac catheterization and critical care transport.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with IV insertion, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to cardiac health.
• Ability to work with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience in acute care settings such as ICU, ER, or Level I/II trauma centers.
• Skills in patient assessment, triage, discharge planning, and case management.
• Competence in infection control practices and specimen collection/processing.
