About Treasure Paws

Treasure Paws is a nonprofit that operates thrift stores which benefits animals and the local community. In our first eight months we’ve raised $70,000+ for animal welfare, painted a 1000 sq. ft. community mural, raised $9000+ for women and children in need, saved thousands of pounds of merchandise from landfill and so much more!

We’re on a journey to become the nation’s biggest provider of animal welfare funding while providing excellent healthcare and benefits to everyone who joins us on our mission!

We’re looking for a well-rounded, enthusiastic team member who enjoys working with people, has an eye for storytelling through photography and social media, and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed.

The Role

This is a dynamic, hands-on position that blends social media content creation, in-store retail, and shipping/sales support. No two days are the same, and flexibility is key.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content

• Work Directly with Co-CEO’s to create mission forward content
• Photograph unique, high-quality, and interesting items for social media
• Create and post engaging content on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
• Help tell the Treasure Paws story through visuals and captions
• Highlight special items, sales, community moments, and behind-the-scenes life in the store

Sales & Shipping

• Assist with online and remote sales (We’re launching online sales soon!)
• Prepare, pack, and ship sold items carefully and efficiently
• Coordinate with team members on item details and fulfillment

In-Store Sales Associate Duties

• Provide friendly, inclusive customer service to a wide range of shoppers
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately
• Assist with pricing, stocking, and merchandising
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store
• Support donation intake and basic sorting as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Some who understands short form video and stays up to date on social media trends
• Familiarity with social media platforms (posting, captions, basic trends)
• Retail, customer service, or thrift experience is a plus—but not required
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable
• Friendly, respectful, and community-minded
• Able to lift and move donations or merchandise as needed
• A genuine appreciation for animals and nonprofit work

Compensation

• $23 per/hour
