What you will be doing:
  • Perform a central role in Asset Liability Management (ALM) modeling. Prepare and assist in the preparation of quarterly ALM analyses and reports.
  • Implement and maintain existing interest rate risk simulation model and related balance sheet valuation verifying the accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency of data and assumptions.
  • Support ALM related initiatives, including work with external third parties involved in the ALM process as applicable to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Assist with purchases, reconciliations and third-party settlements for investments or wholesale asset products (government guaranteed loans, etc)
  • Assist with investment and GGL portfolio analysis and monthly board reporting.
  • Assist with cash management and cash flow forecast modeling as required.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the VP Treasury or the CFO. Ensure the VP Treasury and CFO are aware of all material undertakings at the request of others.
What we need from you:
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance is strongly desired. A master’s degree in finance or progress towards CFA designation (Level 1 or Level 2) is preferred.
  • Minimum two to three years’ experience in a financial institution setting with focus on ALM & Investments is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and research skills are required.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel including filters, formulas, and formatting. The ability to download and manipulate data is required.
  • Ability to adapt to use of new software or operating environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Work From Home and Hybrid Requirements: This particular position is Hybrid and requires in-office / plus work from home days to our offices in Westbury, New York:
  • Internet speed of 100 mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net).
  • Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.
  • All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset)
