Experienced Tree Care Groundsman / Driver

Immediate Hiring – Sign-On Bonus Available

$26–$34 per Hour (DOE)

MTS Tree and Landscape is seeking an experienced Groundsman/Driver to join our growing

tree care team immediately.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone

who understands tree work operations, can safely support climbers, and has experience

with rigging, rope management, equipment operation, and job site safety.

Sign-On Bonus Available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Support climbers during tree pruning and removal operations
• Set up and manage rigging systems
• Run ropes and safely lower limbs and wood
• Tie and understand common arborist knots and hitches
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and other tree care equipment
• Drive company trucks and tow trailers safely
• Coordinate brush removal, chipping, and site cleanup
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site
• Communicate effectively with crew members and crew leaders
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of tree care, forestry, landscaping, or related industry experience
• Experience with rigging, rope handling, and knot tying
• Ability to safely operate chainsaws and chippers
• Strong understanding of job site safety practices
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to drive company trucks and tow trailers
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating mini skid steers or other equipment
• Knowledge of ISA pruning standards
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Schedule

Full-Time

Monday–Friday

Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
