This energetic position involves climbing and working safely at heights to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. You'll utilize specialized equipment like bucket trucks and rigging tools to ensure efficient and safe tree care operations. Responsibilities

  • Safely ascend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and harnesses to perform pruning, trimming, or removal activities.
  • Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently.
  • Use rigging equipment to carefully lower branches or sections during tree removal projects.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of trees’ health and structure, recommending appropriate care or removal strategies.
  • Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscape maintenance to support overall site aesthetics.
  • Apply knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and documenting tree locations and health status.
  • Collaborate with team members on safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety standards during climbing and equipment operation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in tree care, horticulture, or landscape maintenance with growing expertise in tree trimming and pruning.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, bucket operation, and safe use of bucket trucks.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools for mapping or site documentation is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, lifting heavy equipment, and working at heights safely.
  • Basic understanding of landscaping practices such as lawn care and general landscape maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
