Duties

• Climb trees using appropriate rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks efficiently and safely
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access elevated work areas with precision and control
• Apply tree care practices including trimming, shaping, and health assessments to promote growth and vitality
• Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and conditions
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics
• Rig heavy branches or equipment safely using rigging techniques to prevent damage or injury during removal operations
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and equipment used

Skills

• Proven experience in tree climbing, pruning, trimming, and general tree care with growing expertise in horticulture principles
• Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe removal of large branches or trees
• Ability to operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts confidently while adhering to safety protocols
• Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping and site documentation purposes
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, planting, and landscape upkeep
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to arboriculture work at heights
• Excellent physical fitness with the ability to climb, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
