Responsibilities

• Aerial Operations: Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment to elevated work areas to access trees for trimming, pruning, and removal projects.
• Tree Care Operations: Utilizing chainsaws, pole saws, and other power tools to remove deadwood, shape trees, and remove branches, often near energized lines.
• Conduct tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and enhance landscape appearance.
• Rigging and Cleanup: Utilizing ropes and rigging techniques to safely drop limbs and assisting with ground cleanup and debris disposal.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment including regular inspections, cleaning, and troubleshooting to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Job Site Management: Communicating with ground crews and homeowners, and planning tree removal approaches.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts in a tree care setting
• Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting and securing heavy limbs or equipment
• Growing experience in horticulture, arboriculture, or related fields preferred
• Strong understanding of tree care practices, including trimming, pruning, and health assessment
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
• Age 18 or older, with a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is a bonus
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as we are a Drug Free Workplace!
• A Background check will be conducted.
