Trinity Memory Care 7-3 Caregiver/Med Tech

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver/Med Tech to join our memory care community, providing exceptional support and medical assistance to residents with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, and medical technology, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive, respectful, and professional care. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, recording findings meticulously within electronic health record (EHR) Yardi.
• Provide specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care by implementing personalized care plans that address behavioral challenges and cognitive needs.
• Support residents during meal times, including tube feeding procedures when necessary, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans, including hospice and acute care services.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, assisting with catheter care, and managing medical equipment such as EMR systems and medical devices.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within medical records while respecting privacy standards outlined by HIPAA.
• Engage in ongoing training related to physiology knowledge, anatomy, medical terminology, and caregiving best practices for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Yardi for documentation and patient record management.
• Knowledge of medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic nursing tasks.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care techniques and dementia-specific interventions to support cognitive health.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized memory or senior care is preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and patient privacy.
