Truck Driver

Tribeca Cabinetry Inc. FL is looking for Truck driver to join our growing team! We are located Plant City, FL where we assemble high quality, semi-custom cabinetry to the building trades and are looking for motivated individuals to help us reach our goals!

We have an opening for an experienced Truck Driver to deliver finished product to our customers.

We deliver Monday - Friday to warehouse and job site locations. Must provide a clean MVR and proven work experience driving straight or box trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a reliable attendance record. This includes being flexible with start times and end times each day as our routes take us all over.
• Sort Delivery Notes and load trucks sequentially for delivery, taking care to check off each item on the Delivery Note to ensure accuracy and properly securing the load for safe transit.
• Unload freight at the designated stop, free from damage. (will provide a driver helper)
• Report discrepancies and any incidences to the office immediately.
• Maintain records in accordance too Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) (Electronic LOGS)
• Meeting delivery schedules, inspecting vehicles, document and log work, rest periods and miles spent driving (Electronics Log provided)
• Operation of company equipment or rented vehicle in a safe and legal manner in accordance with company policy and the laws of the state which you are delivering in.
• Demonstrate general courtesy on the roadways with fellow travelers.
• Provide excellent customer service to our customers

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• 3 years - experience operating a box truck, specifically 26" box delivery truck.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications on product labels and delivery notes
• Proficiency in basic math and measures
• Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Able to work in a team environment and follow direction
• Provide at interview a DOT Medical Card
• Successfully complete all pre-employment screenings

Physical Requirements:

• The employee may be required to climb stairs and maintain their balance
• Safely climb in and out of equipment, sit for extended period of time in a truck or tractor-trailer.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust vision focus

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 3 years previous driving / delivery experience preferred 3 years previous driving / delivery experience preferred
• Experience with face to face customer service required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
