Truck Driver

Driver at Goodro Lumber (CDL Optional)

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver (CDL Optional) to join our team at Goodro Lumber. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting building materials—including lumber, drywall, roofing, and millwork—to customer job sites and residences. You will represent our company with professionalism and outstanding customer service at every stop.

· Safely operate flatbed trucks, box trucks, or pickup trucks as required

· Load and unload building materials using forklifts, moffetts, or by hand, as appropriate

· Deliver materials to construction sites, homes, and businesses according to schedule

· Verify load contents and ensure orders are complete and accurate before departure

· Follow company and DOT safety regulations and procedures at all times

· Assist with yard duties when deliveries are not scheduled

· Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)

· Clean driving record

· Proven experience operating delivery trucks; flatbed experience is a plus

· Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs safely

· Strong work ethic and dependability

· Familiarity with basic building materials is a plus

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday (no weekends)

· Daily minimum schedule from 6:30AM to 3:30PM (8 hours paid, with an hour lunch break), with opportunities for overtime

· Location: Lumberyard at 388 E. Main Street in East Middlebury, VT

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
