Truck Driver

Duties

• Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods across designated routes
• Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed
• Report any vehicle defects or accidents promptly to management

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with flatbed vehicles or similar heavy goods vehicles
• Delivery driver experience is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods
• Ability to operate a flatbed lorry safely and efficiently
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
• Strong communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients
• Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational demands
