Job Overview
Wakefield Biochar is in need of a Truck Driver! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries. Your expertise in truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will drive our success forward. Duties
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles
- Transport goods to and from specified destinations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel usage, mileage, and deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain proper documentation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Familiarity with specialized equipment such as dump trucks for bulk material transport.
- Strong knowledge of route planning, load & unload procedures, and delivery documentation.
- Ability to manage time efficiently to meet tight schedules while maintaining safety at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
