Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including those with manual transmissions, across designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles depending on the cargo needs.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
• Manage route driving with precision to meet delivery schedules while maintaining fuel efficiency and vehicle maintenance standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each journey.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical challenges promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, cargo documentation, delivery receipts, and incident reports for compliance purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, with a strong focus on route driving and delivery operations.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles, tankers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, or other specialized equipment preferred.
• Experience operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling, load & unload processes, and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail for conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate logs.

Pay: $35.78 - $56.84 per hour
