Truck Driver/ Chofer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle freight with care are essential for success in this position.

Position is paid as a W-2 employee with applicable payroll taxes withheld (or consider 1099).

Duties

• Drive manual transmission vehicles and navigate routes effectively.
• Transport refrigerated trailers while maintaining appropriate temperature controls.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch, company management, and customer regarding delivery schedules and load updates.

Skills

• Proficient in truck driving with experience in commercial driving environments.
• Familiarity with manual transmission operation.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Strong commitment to conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring equipment and vehicle are safe and compliant before departure.
