Truck Driver Class A

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over short or long distances while operating a variety of trucks.

Duties:

- Safely drive trucks to transport and deliver products or materials
- Load and unload cargo
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Report defects, accidents, or violations

Skills:

- Experience with forklift operation
- Knowledge of regional lanes for efficient transportation
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Proficiency in handling flatbed trucks for specialized cargo
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Strong automotive repair skills for basic maintenance
- Familiarity with driving tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers
- Understanding of freight handling procedures
