Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with automatic and manual transmission to transport household and commercial items across designated routes.
• Load and unload items efficiently using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, providing exceptional customer service by assisting with loading, unloading, and setting up belongings as needed.
• Plan and follow optimized routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records throughout each shift.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate moving schedules, handle heavy lifting tasks safely, and ensure smooth operations.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially within a moving or warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to operate box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission safely and confidently.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
• Experience with heavy lifting, moving furniture or household items, and handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
• Warehouse experience that includes load & unload operations will be considered an asset.
