Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Truck Driver Recruiter to join our dynamic talent acquisition team. Duties
- Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified truck drivers through various channels including social media, job boards, and industry events.
- Conduct comprehensive candidate sourcing using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) such as Lever, Workday, or iCIMS to streamline hiring processes.
- Screen resumes and applications meticulously, assessing technical skills, driving records, and compliance with employment & labor law standards.
- Lead engaging interviews to evaluate candidates’ experience with CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) requirements, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
- Negotiate employment contracts and compensation packages aligned with company policies and industry standards.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from initial outreach through onboarding, including employee orientation and contract signing.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure a steady pipeline of talented drivers through campus recruitment, cold calling, and lead generation initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in technical recruiting or HR sourcing within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Demonstrated success in talent acquisition for roles requiring specialized skills such as CDL licensing or commercial driving experience.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms like Salesforce, UltiPro, Taleo, or PeopleSoft for efficient applicant tracking and data management.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers alike.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations relevant to driver recruitment and employment practices.
- Experience utilizing social media management tools for recruitment campaigns and brand promotion.
- Background in employee relations, employee evaluation processes, and training & development initiatives related to driver safety and performance.
