TRUCKING BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTING MANAGER

We are seeking a high-level Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations across multiple transportation and logistics companies. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of the books, payroll, and financial processes in a fast-paced trucking environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and reconcile books across multiple entities

· Manage accounts payable and receivable

· Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

· Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

· Monitor and manage company cash flow

Payroll & Driver Pay

· Process payroll for company drivers and office staff

· Calculate commission-based and percentage driver pay

· Manage deductions, reimbursements, and settlements

· Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance

Trucking-Specific Financial Operations

· Track revenue per load and operating expenses

· Manage fuel costs and accessorial charges (lumper, detention, etc.)

· Reconcile load-level financial data with dispatch records

· Support accurate and timely financial reporting

Systems & Process Management

· Manage QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)

· Improve accounting workflows and internal processes

· Maintain organized, audit-ready records

· Assist with reporting for lenders, insurance, and planning

Qualifications

· 5+ years full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience

· Trucking or logistics experience strongly preferred

· Strong understanding of payroll and commission-based pay

· Experience with multi-entity accounting

· Understand debits, credits, & proper account classification

· Proficient in QuickBooks

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $40,054.93 - $55,000.20 per year
