Trucking Dispatcher Assistant

We are looking for a full-time assistant to the dispatcher; someone who is detail oriented, communicative, respectful and committed to the Job. We are committed to hiring and retaining quality, long-term employees.

Duties will also include communicating with our customers to record their requirement and planning/adjusting routes to maximize the efficiency of all trucks. Dispatcher Assistant is also responsible for keeping records and monitoring driver's working hours and equipment availability.

Trucking Dispatcher Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist in dispatching for pickup and delivery of cargo to/from customers, terminals, warehouses, and other locations/facilities.
• Update daily reports
• Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries or collect shipments and packages.
• Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Ensure that the needs of the customers are known, respond to them, and problem solve.

Trucking Dispatcher Assistant Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience as a trucking dispatcher assistant or in a similar industry.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws. (DOT, FMCSA)
• Must have valid drivers license
• Excellent communication, Multi-tasking, Organization and time management skills.
• Requires a high level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers by providing accurate, courteous, and timely responses to questions or concerns.
