Trucking Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator

One (1) year of prior dispatch experience in the transportation industry required.

Richland, Mississippi based trucking company is searching for a Fleet Manager/ Dispatcher to expand our team. We have a very fast paced work environment which requires a strong work ethic and a team atmosphere. Must have the strategic ability to work with both drivers and customers on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Ideal candidates will have knowledge in Logistics, Truck Dispatch, & Freight Brokerage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and time sensitive office environment
• MUST have at least one (1) year prior dispatch experience

Responsibilities

• Understand the processes involved with Trucking Dispatch and Load Entry
• Customer Service – responds promptly to customer needs; meets commitments
• Supervise and manage a fleet of 20+ drivers
• Team Work – contributes to building a positive environment
• Negotiate Rates and work directly with brokers
• Implement Safety Rules and Regulations
• Adaptability – able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Oral / Written Communication – speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
