Trucking Operations Manager

CDL Driver & Operations Supervisor – Prior FedEx Driving Experience Preferred (50% Driving / 50% Management)

This Manager position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and driver management of FedEx Ground linehaul operations for Cornerstone Trucking, Inc. Candidate should have management experience and be an experienced FedEx linehaul driver with willingness to go out on route if needed.
The Manager will have a strong daily presence at the FedEx Ground terminal, as well as build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with all drivers and FedEx Employees.

• High Weekly Pay: Flat $1,600 per week PLUS Mileage Pay ($0.20/mi. Solo or $0.30/mi. Team)

Work Schedule - 5 to 6 days a week

MUST hold a Class A CDL and have previous FedEx driving experience to be considered for this position. Management experience and college training (2 year or 4 year degree) strongly recommended.
We prefer FedEx Manager or BC experience, but are willing to consider UPS, Amazon, DHI, Old Dominion, Saia, AAA Cooper, 10 Roads, Central Transport, ABF Freight, and others.

MANAGER DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS:

• Responsible for ensuring all daily routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and the routes are dispatching timely
• Responsible for the training of new drivers to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
• Responsible for ensuring drivers are compliant with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliance, Pre-Trip/Post-Trip Inspections, etc.
• Creates a culture of safety and ensuring each driver is up to date on all safety trainings
• Coordinates routes with FedEx linehaul staff in order to execute a plan that maximizes the profitability of the company
• Responsible for ensuring we are providing quality service to FedEx Ground with available drivers and operable equipment
• Works closely with Maintenance Manager to ensure the fleet is operating and maintenance is routinely performed on all trucks
• Responsible for performance management of all drivers assigned
• Physically willing, ready, and able to drive a commercial motor vehicle
• Excellent contingency planner
• Establishing relationships with part-time drivers as well as other FedEx drivers to help one another out in times of need

MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Doubles and Triples endorsement
• At least 24 years of age
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Must pass DOT physical, pre-employment background, and drug screen
• No revoked or suspended license, DUI, DWI, or reckless driving violations
• MVR: No more than 1 moving violations in the last 36 months
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Prior management experience and/or a college degree is required.

Prior FedEx experienced preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
