Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation

• Set up and configure manufacturing machines according to production specifications and work orders
• Perform machine changeovers and adjustments to accommodate different product runs
• Calibrate and fine-tune equipment parameters (speed, temperature, pressure, tension, etc.)
• Load raw materials, tools, dies, and fixtures into machines
• Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments to achieve quality standards

Quality Control

• Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Adjust machine settings to correct defects and maintain product specifications
• Document quality measurements and maintain inspection records
• Identify and report quality issues to supervisors immediately

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues
• Make minor repairs and adjustments to minimize production downtime
• Coordinate with maintenance team for major repairs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment

Process Optimization

• Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency and reduce waste
• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity
• Assist in implementing lean manufacturing initiatives
• Maintain optimal production speeds while ensuring quality standards

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete production logs, setup sheets, and quality documentation
• Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings and adjustments
• Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, or other quality standards

Required Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Technical diploma or certificate in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Mechanics, or related field (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing machine setup and operation
• Proven track record in machine tuning and optimization
• Experience with production machinery relevant to industry (e.g., CNC machines, injection molding, stamping presses, packaging equipment, textile machines, etc.)

Technical Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Understanding of PLC controls and machine interfaces
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures
• Computer skills for data entry and production software
