What You’ll Do

• Tutor students 1:1 or in small groups
• Follow expectations set by our partner agencies
• Use required assessments to determine instructional levels
• Submit brief session notes with required data

What We’re Looking For

• Strong skills in math, reading, or both
• Reliable availability (minimum 3 hours/week)
• Comfortable using Zoom and basic technology
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Reliable transportation for in-person roles
• Experience tutoring or working with students preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Up to what level of math can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8 (must be able to do Algebra 1), Grades 9-10 (must be able to do Algebra 1 & Geometry), Grades 10-11 (Must be able to do Algebra 2 & Pre-Calculus), or Grades 11-12 (Must be able to do Calculus & Statistics)
• Are you willing to do a level 2 background check, which includes fingerprinting, tutor covers cost?
• Are you willing to tutor in-person at the students home or a public library?
• Up to what level of science can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8 (must be able to do Space & Life Sciences), Grades 9-10 (must be able to do Biology), Grades 10-11 (Must be able to do Biology & Chemistry), or Grades 11-12 (Must be able to do Chemistry & Physics)
• Up to what level of social studies/history can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8 (must be able to do Civics), Grades 9-10 (must be able to do World History), Grades 10-11 (Must be able to do US History, American Govenment & Economics), or Grades 11-12 (Must be able to do European History)
• Up to what level of ELA can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12 - ELA includes reading, writing, literature, grammar (ELA stands for English Language Arts)
