About the Role
The Tutor Training & Curriculum Content Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Eurekii’s Tutor Lesson Library and internal training systems. This role ensures tutors are equipped with high-quality instructional content, trained in Eurekii’s tutoring methodology and platforms, and fully prepared to lead tutoring sessions independently.
This role is ideal for an educator or instructional designer who enjoys curriculum creation, training tutors, translating pedagogy into practice, and ensuring instructional quality through clear systems and readiness benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lesson & Curriculum Development
- Create, revise, and maintain lesson plans and instructional materials for Eurekii’s Tutor Lesson Library.
- Design lessons that align with Eurekii’s pedagogy, instructional methods, and "The Eurekii Way."
- Ensure lessons include clear objectives, instructional strategies, engagement techniques, and assessment components.
2. Pedagogy Alignment & Content Quality
- Ensure all lesson content reflects best practices in instruction, scaffolding, differentiation, and student engagement.
- Review and update existing lessons to improve clarity, effectiveness, and alignment with current instructional expectations.
- Maintain consistency in lesson structure, tone, and quality across the Lesson Library, while ensuring grade-appropriateness.
3. Tutor Training & Onboarding
- Train and onboard tutors on Eurekii’s tutoring methodology, instructional approach, and expectations for working with students.
- Lead or co-facilitate tutor training sessions focused on "The Eurekii Way," lesson delivery, session structure, and student engagement.
- Train tutors on the platforms, tools, systems, and assessment forms used for tutoring sessions, documentation, and communication.
4. Tutor Readiness & Quality Assurance
- Determine tutor readiness to lead sessions independently based on training benchmarks and quality standards outlined in Eurekii’s probationary period scoring rubric
- Conduct observations, shadowing sessions, lesson reviews, and training-aligned quality assurance checks.
- Evaluate tutor performance and implementation of Eurekii methods, lesson detail, and platform proficiency, based on rubric.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback and recommend additional training or clearance for independent tutoring.
5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with the School Programs Director to align curriculum, training, and readiness expectations.
- Incorporate feedback from tutor training outcomes, QA data, and student performance into lesson revisions.
- Contribute to instructional resources, guides, and tools that support ongoing tutor development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (education or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, curriculum development, or instructional training.
- Strong understanding of lesson planning, curriculum alignment, and instructional best practices.
- Experience training or onboarding educators or tutors preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
