Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Two-year-old Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering young children's development and a strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and early childhood education. This role offers an opportunity to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning, social-emotional growth, and physical development for Two-year-olds. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for designing engaging lesson plans, implementing age-appropriate activities, and ensuring a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere aligned with best practices in childcare and preschool education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to two-year-olds.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among toddlers.
- Conduct assessments of children's progress through observations and document developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support early intervention strategies if needed.
- Maintain compliance with childcare regulations and standards related to childhood development, child welfare, and safety protocols.
- Supervise assistant teachers providing guidance on classroom management and lesson implementation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, special education, literacy education, and other relevant areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior classroom experience required.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Background in early intervention, special education, or literacy education is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to develop curriculum that meets developmental standards and supports individualized learning plans.
- Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field required; CDA credential preferred.
- Experience with standardized testing or assessment tools is advantageous.
- Passion for child welfare, nurturing environments, and fostering positive learning experiences for toddlers.
