Job Description:
Join the MVT Family! Mesilla Valley Transportation is now hiring a Local Pick-Up & Delivery (P&D) Planner for the night schedule in El Paso, TX!!!

A Local Pick-Up & Delivery Planner is responsible for planning trucks to service contract customer freight and ensure optimal equipment utilization. They will work together with Operations teams to ensure on-time service is met per customers' expectations.
Night Schedule:
Wednesday midnight-6:00am; Thursday-Saturday 6:00pm-6:00am
Responsibilities:

• Plans pick up and deliveries for local drivers.
• Monitors drivers to ensure pick-up and deliveries are done on time.
• Communicates with Customer Service Team on any delays or issues.
• Provides input on available capacity to authorize T-calls.
• Forecasts upcoming challenges for the next day and advises second shift of pending issues.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics with moderate knowledge of Motor Carrier Operations and Geography.
• Apply knowledge of Motor Carrier Resources to meet company, customer, and driver needs.
• Moderate knowledge of North American Supply Chain Network and Operations.
• Competent user of MS Office.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
