Type 3 Non CDL Driver/Bulk Mail Handler

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible with working together with a crew in harmony in transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various driving tasks, including loading and unloading US Mail in boxes, bags & tubs by hand daily Up to 75 lbs. Split shift 3:00 am to 9:00 am, then return 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient loading and unloading of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, quantities, and any issues encountered during transport.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients upon delivery.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assist in moving items as needed within the warehouse or delivery locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, PUC physical, Fingerprinting and Federal Background Check, Registered with the Selective Service and able to obtain and AOA Badge and Ramp License to access Ellison Onizuka International AirPort and USPS Facilities.
• Experience in commercial driving is preferred; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds) as part of loading and unloading duties.
• Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
